Technology and manufacturing companies are venturing from the Silicon Valley into the Valley of the Sun, bringing with them jobs and promises of a stronger economy.
Houzz, a home remodeling company and design platform is opening a sales and client services office in Tempe, and is looking to hire more than 150 new employees.
“Arizona has become the ideal location for technology companies looking to scale their operations, and the decision by Houzz to expand into Tempe further emphasizes that,” said Governor Doug Ducey in a statement.
Inteplast Group, a New Jersey-based plastics manufacturer has invested $20 million in its’ two production lines in Phoenix on Buckeye Road near 43rd Avenue.
OfferPad, which buys and sells homes directly from sellers using an online platform, has received a $260 million investment that will enable it to expand its presence in Phoenix.
Now, Opendoor Labs, which gives customers market value for their homes, having recently reached “unicorn status” is putting roots down in Scottsdale.
Together, these new companies are a sure sign that our Phoenix economy will see improvements and real estate growth, as more and more people relocate to the valley of the sun.
